Job Description

Job location - USA - preferably East Coast, but other areas will be considered.

Your new role

Ramboll is seeking a motivated Pursuit Manager to join the global Environment & Health Strategic Pursuits team. Building on the foundations of a tender manager, the Pursuit Manager supports technical teams across pre-tender propositioning, strategy development, tender response management, interviews and lessons learned.

Reporting to the Strategic Pursuits Manager, you will support the delivery of strategic bids and tenders, collaborating with colleagues across Commercial, Operational, Technical, Digital, Sustainability and Key Account teams.

While your focus will be largely on the Americas region, it is a global role so you will be working with people internationally. Cultural awareness and occasionally working to different time zones is required. Therefore, the candidate will be ideally based on the US East coast to align more closely to European times - although candidates from other regions will be considered.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, consultative, collaborative, personable and eager to get the best out of others while not being afraid to challenge traditional thinking. The successful candidate will use their best-practice knowledge of bids and capture processes to develop and execute winning pursuit strategies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with all phases of the pursuit process, including positioning, qualification, proposal/bid preparation, and interviews, following Ramboll and E&H standards
  • Coach technical teams on developing a winning strategy, client engagement and implementation of strategies in the tender response and interview presentations
  • Facilitate strategy sessions, supporting technical teams to be collaborative and innovative
  • Manage projects the end-to-end pursuit process, including supporting governance and risk processes
  • Troubleshoot and support the bid / tender process to maximize win potential
  • Escalate concerns or issues to the Strategic Pursuits Manager
  • Support the Strategic Pursuits Manager in raising the profile of the Strategic Pursuits team
  • Acts as a mentor to other members of the team
Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in bid/pursuit management with demonstrable experience in supporting the development of strong value propositions
  • Familiarity with best practice pursuit/bid processes and a willingness to learn and share knowledge
  • Relevant certifications (such as APMP) will be an advantage
  • Experienced in interview / presentation coaching would be beneficial
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and levels
  • Good proposal planning and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
  • Creative thinking and a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Able to challenge technical teams to develop truly unique value propositions

Salary Transparency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $114,700-$126,100 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
