About the Hiring Group
The role falls within the CFO organization supporting the execution of RTI's mission by ensuring financial stability, driving operationalexcellenceand managing risk. Join a team of trustedpartners that delivers innovative solutions and providesa seamlessexperience in support of RTI's clients. This role will report to the EVP, CFO. While this is a US-based remote position, local candidates within physical commuting distance to an RTI office (RTP, DC) are preferred.
What You'll Do
The Vice President, Finance System Integration & Automation is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the transformation of CFO functions through automation, advanced analytics, and strategic platform integration. This leader will oversee two high-impact teams: 1) Automation & Analytics and 2) Finance Systems Integration & Roadmap-while partnering closely with CFO functions, Global Technology Solutions (GTS), and business leadership to modernize financial operationsin order tostrengthen digital capacity and enable cost efficiencies and scalabilities.
- Automation & Analytics Team:Leads the development and implementation of automation solutions, advanced analytics, and intelligent dashboards to streamline financial workflows and empower self-serve data insights across the organization.
- Finance Systems Integration and Roadmap Team:Drives the strategic integration of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platforms and tools within the CFO functions, creating a clear pathway for transformative adoption and ensuring alignment with long-term operationalobjectives.
Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manages the optimization of the enhancements andupdatesdeployments of key CFO systems in accounting, contracts, and finance to ensure proper financial transaction recognition, ongoing process improvement, advanced analytics, and automations.
- Responsible for ensuring that all new systems preserve or enhance the adherence to accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls, with an aim to automate RTI's control environment.
- Co-chairs the Corporate Systems Operating Committee with GTS Enterprise Systems leader and works closely with the Executive Committee made up of RTI's CFO, CHRO and COO.
- Partnering with RTI's Organizational Development and Change Management Center of Excellence, accountable for change management related to technology - ensuring that change management strategies are in place and implemented with each technology and release.
- Acts as a spokesperson for theprogram,includingBoard of Governors and RTI leadership updates to information sharing with key staff across the Institute and within the CFO organization.
- Responsible for ensuring that the operating model for Financial Systems isoptimizedfor efficiency and effectiveness.
- Align governance processes with key stakeholders, including GTS Strategy and Architecture leader and CFO Finance leader, to ensure cohesive decision-making and operational consistency.
- Lead the development of frameworks, tools, and processesrequiredto build out activities related to how we use Oracle for RTI subsidiaries, new RTI business model integration,acquisitionsand investments.
- Ensurewe'remaximizing our investment and pushing the advancement of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Suite of tools.
- Leads the development of the function ensuring sufficient resources and skill sets are present to meet the needs of RTI. Fully responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in work processes.
- Manages staff through performance planning, development and evaluation process. Ensures staff development and career progression. Ensures practices in place to ensure/drive towards a high level of staff morale and retention. Guides promotion and succession processes.
What You'll Need
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 20 years of experience,Master'sdegree and 16 years of experience, PhD and 12years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in financial systems, finance transformation, or enterprise technology.
- Deepexpertisewith Oracle ERP.
- Strong understanding of accounting, FP&A, and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership in largescale system implementations.

Additional Required Skills & Abilities:
- Finance Leadership & Transformation: Proventrack recordleading controller functions and FP&A teams through automation initiatives, driving data-driven decision-making and strategic financial insights across multi-entity organizations
- Oracle Cloud Financials Mastery: Deep expertise implementing and optimizing Oracle Fusion Cloud (GL, subledgers, AP/AR, assets, cash management) with focus on automated controls, streamlined close processes, and real-time compliance reporting
- EPM & Financial Close Automation: Hands-on experience with Oracle EPM/ARCS for automated reconciliations, consolidations, and financial close acceleration; reduce close cycles through intelligent workflow automation
- Advanced FP&A & Predictive Analytics: Design integrated planning solutions for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling; build driver-based models and rolling forecasts using Oracle EPM and advanced statistical techniques
- Business Intelligence & Data Visualization: Create executive dashboards and self-service analytics using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC); translate complex financial data into actionable insights through KPI tracking and variance analysis
- Process Automation & RPA: Champion finance automation through API integrations (Oracle Integration Cloud), RPA implementation, and workflow optimization;eliminatemanual processes and enhance data accuracy across the financial ecosystem
- Multi-Entity Controller or FP&A Expertise: Navigate complex reporting structures, intercompany eliminations, multi-currency consolidations, and regulatory compliance in global scientific research environments
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Proactively identify system gaps and process inefficiencies; architect scalable solutions that support business growth while maintaining financial controls and audit readiness
- Leadership Excellence: Inspire finance teams through decisive action, diplomatic coaching, and passion for scientific business operations; demonstrate RTI Values and Lead Forward behaviors in developing analytical talent and fostering continuous improvement.
