As our Senior Engineer, Industrial Air Filtration with Donaldson Company, you will make an impact by supporting customers, both internally and externally. This position will focus on product development for the general market as well as our OEM customers. You'll also have the opportunity to support our current line of products to understand the full life cycle of our equipment. This role will allow you to flex your creative problem solving abilities and give you the opportunity to have broad impact throughout all parts of the product engineering and manufacturing process. Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, MN office.

Role Responsibilities:

• Leading projects for industrial air filtration New Product Development and Current Product Engineering.

• Carrying out all project management activities from change initiation to implementation for various types of engineering changes such as qualifying a new supplier, new material, new tool for plastic parts, cost reduction and design changes, structural calculations, and venting calculations.

• Communicating and collaborating with Project Leaders, Application Engineers, Sales Representatives, Suppliers, Procurement Teams, Quality and Production Engineers to implement engineering changes or find optimal solutions to problems.

• Utilizing Oracle Business Intelligence to obtain desired information about products and product supply.

• Reviewing engineering drawings and providing design guidance and input on plastic, rubber, and sheet metal products.

• Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to resolve engineering issues according to drawing standards and manufacturing feasibility.

• Demonstrating knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) workflow cycles.

• Proficient in software tools such as Solidworks, Teamcenter, and Oracle BI.

• Providing design guidance and recommending alternative solutions as required.

• Demonstrating design knowledge of Industrial filtration systems and supporting the development of new products to achieve technical objectives, customer requirements, and design specifications.

• Demonstrated Knowledge of ECO or ECN, Drafting, PPAP, and Testing & Validation protocols.

Travel: Up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with an Engineering focus.

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior application engineering experience

• Master's Degree in technical field.

• Air filtration knowledge/experience.

• Direct experience supporting OEMs

• Prior electrical experience would be beneficial

• Demonstrated project management skills.

• Strong technical communication skills, and ability to communicate at all levels.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage through competing projects and priorities efficiently with strong attention to detail.

Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Annual Salary Range:$86,200 - 111,000. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
