Description Acara Solutions is seeking a Controller to join our client in Lockport, NY. Type: Direct Hire, 100% onsite Salary: Up to $140K plus bonus, ESOP participation, medical/dental benefits, and a 401(k) plan with employer contribution. Financial Close & Reporting - Lead monthly/annual close, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, manage accruals and consistent accounting practices. Revenue & Cost Accounting - Oversee revenue recognition, billing accuracy, job costing, and GAAP compliance. Controls & Process Improvement - Maintain internal controls, improve documentation, and optimize processes/systems. Cash & Treasury - Manage cash flow, banking activity, payments, lender reporting, and working capital. Budgeting & Reporting - Support budgeting, forecasting, cash projections, and performance analysis. Tax, Audit & Compliance - Coordinate tax filings, audits, payroll/sales tax compliance, and regulatory reporting. Leadership & Systems - Lead the accounting team and support financial systems/data integrity improvements. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Prior experience as a Controller 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP Experience in services-based or transaction-intensive businesses Proven ability to manage close, controls, and audits Preferred Skills / Qualifications: CPA or MBA Experience in privately held or growing companies Exposure to multi-entity accounting environments After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
