As Flat Laser Operator you are responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our flat laser cutting machines to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.

* Set up and operate CNC flat laser cutting machines (Trumpf)

* Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures

* Load and unload raw materials and finished product using forklifts and overhead cranes

* Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and job orders

* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment and designated work area

* Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.

* Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Prior flat laser experience preferred
• Basic math skills including conversions
• Ability to adapt, multitask, and prioritize in an environment that is rapidly changing
• Ability to have high attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new hire training
