From First Beep to Final Pallet

Here's what you'll need to knock it out like a pro:

• Certification:Valid forklift operator certification/license required.
• Equipment Knowledge:Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (often up to 50+ pounds).
• Documentation:Ability to read, understand, and complete shipping/receiving documents and inventory records.
• Communication:Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:

Material Handling & Equipment Operation

• Safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and other warehouse machinery to move products and materials.
• Perform daily equipment checks, report any issues, and assist with basic maintenance.
• Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring loads are secure and stable.

Shipping & Receiving

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks, containers, or rail cars, securing goods as needed.
• Verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments and report discrepancies.
• Prepare goods for shipment (e.g., packing, labeling, shrink wrapping).

Inventory Control

• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory, verify quantities, and update records.
• Perform regular cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies.
• Organize and replenish stock based on inventory needs.

Order Picking & Packing

• Accurately pick items for customer orders according to pick lists.
• Pack orders securely for shipment and ensure all documentation is accurate.

Safety & Maintenance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
• Report hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
