Position Summary

Direct Supply is transforming how we deliver complex interior reposition and refresh

projects to better serve our customers, scale our business, and operate as a modern,

AI-enabled organization.

In the Manager, Operations - Projects position, you'll lead the successful execution of complex interior reposition and refresh projects from quoting and pricing through fulfillment and installation. As one of three peer leaders supporting a team of approximately 40 Partners, you'll deliver predictable, high-quality project outcomes while balancing customer experience, margin performance, vendor partnerships, and long-term value creation. This role plays a critical part in transforming how work gets done by redesigning workflows, simplifying complexity, and building scalable, future-ready operating models in a dynamic, change-driven environment.

What You'll Do and the Impact:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of interior reposition and refresh projects across multiple lines of business, ensuring consistent delivery from quoting and pricing through fulfillment and installation.

  • Own predictable, high-quality project outcomes by balancing customer experience, margin performance, vendor relationships, and long-term partnership health.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational, customer, and vendor challenges, applying sound judgment to resolve issues and protect long-term value.

  • Monitor and improve operational performance across service, quality, and productivity metrics using data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Redesign and simplify project execution workflows to eliminate rework, reduce cycle time, and improve speed, clarity, and scalability.

  • Sponsor and adopt AI, automation, and technology-enabled solutions that materially improve how work gets done and reduce manual effort.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing Partners by coaching teams to strengthen ownership, problem-solving, systems thinking, and effective use of data and technology.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Design, Category, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to align priorities, operationalize vendor partnerships, standardize fulfillment and installation playbooks, and drive accountability through clear operating rhythms and performance scorecards.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience leading teams in an operational, project-based, or fulfillment-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated experience driving operational improvement, process redesign, or transformation initiatives.

  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and executional levels, translating direction into action.

  • Proven experience leading teams in a supervisory or project lead capacity.
