Job Summary
The Project Manager will act as a liaison for venue and artist in negotiation and finalization of contract deal points and the concluding settlement of shows. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the overall management of the venue calendar, managing date availability and the placement of holds for artists and other events. The Project Manager - Events will build offers for artists and work in collaboration with venue box offices on the appropriate scaling of each venue for ticket scaling. This position will also act as the promoter representative and point of contact for artist management during each show.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the settlement shows with artist and venue. Collection of profits, audit of venue expenses and remittance of payment to artist and venue.
- Act as liaison between artist and venue. Negotiate and process contracts to finalize deal points for both artist and venue to advance the show. Act as promoter representative and point of contact for artist management during show.
- Create contact sheets for various departments on artists and tours. Update show files with venue expenses and fees.
- Build offers for artists and venues. Gather seating charts and work in conjunction with venue box offices to create scaling maps for ticket sales.
- Manage of venue calendar availability and the placement of holds for artists and events. Vet potential business and research artist's historical data.
- Various projects as assigned, including the coordination of festival development, creation of inter-office systems and organization of show folders and internal confirmation sheets.
- May be responsible for assisting marketing department on the creation of ad packs and submitting supervisor's travel and expenses.
- Develops touring and/or booking strategies to support touring/booking department
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in entertainment, marketing, communications, business, or related field
- 3+ years' experience in entertainment marketing, live music concerts, or project management experience
- BA/BS Degree (4-year)
- 4-6 years Related work experience
- Experience working in production with an understanding how tours come together
- Experience working with building offers, scaling and routing tours
- Excellent interpersonal skills with previous relationships with artists or management
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and some holidays
Pay Scale: $62,000-$65,000
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
