Role Summary

As a Retirement Plan Services Support (RPSS) - Distribution Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of retirement plan and Trust IRA distributions. You'll support internal partners by providing expert guidance on distribution regulations and reporting requirements. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in retirement plan operations while making a meaningful impact on client service and compliance.

Preferred candidate will be located in the Fox Valley market.

Key Accountabilities

  • Process and review retirement plan and Trust IRA distributions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely 1099-R and 5498 reporting.
  • Analyze distribution eligibility, vesting, IRS codes, and withholding requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Calculate and validate retirement plan testing refunds (ADP, ACP, 415, 402g), including associated gains or losses.
  • Partner with Retirement Plan Services, Trust IRA Administration, and the Contact Center to resolve distribution inquiries and research requests.
  • Generate and distribute required paperwork and reports using internal systems and Crystal Reports.
  • Monitor force-out requirements, terminated participant balances, and uncashed checks to maintain plan compliance.
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure incoming distribution requests are completed accurately and within established timelines.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Retirement Plan Services
