Security Guard - Patrol Driver Rounds

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Rounds in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, allowing you to move between checkpoints and respond to calls for service. You will bring strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction, supported by Allied Universal's caring culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, gates, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and communicate irregular conditions to the appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with scene control, notifications, and documentation.
• Complete access control and administrative duties such as checking identification and/or credentials, controlling entry and exit points, and writing clear daily activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
