We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations in Savannah, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence. This position will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant production of high-quality dental and medical devices.

The role will drive a culture of operational excellence that will positively impact safety, quality and service improvements while reducing cost through various CI techniques including Lean. As a strategic location for manufacturing investment the role will drive site growth initiatives and investment strategy execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the strategic growth of the manufacturing facility, working in partnership with business partners and Henry Schein Manufacturing global organization to support business growth and supply chain excellence.
  • Responsible for planning strategic investment at the site to enable growth and future manufacturing initiatives. Presenting business cases to drive investment.
  • Site oversight for Production and Operations Management:
  • Direct site leadership and teams on production output, product quality, and on-time shipping in a metric driven operation
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Design resource allocation effectively to achieve production goals.
  • Build the organizational capabilities and the talent to support business requirements, both for today's needs and forward looking forward to future projected growth
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the plant's budget, including labor, materials, and operational expenses.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports for leadership.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all products meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Lead and participate in regulatory audits and inspections.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 12+ years of experience in regulated manufacturing, supply chain operations.
  • Able to manage relationships across a matrix reporting structure
  • Proven leadership and management skills in a high growth and dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to lead and drive change in a dynamic business environment
  • Record of successfully introducing and implementing strategic initiatives in a manufacturing/supply chain environment preferred
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience required
  • Analytical skills for data review and process optimization

  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships
  • Ability to influence, build relationships, understand organizational complexities, manage conflict and navigate politics
  • Broad and wide-range of professional and managerial skills with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to lead and develop virtual teams
  • Outstanding in multiple technical and business skills

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 3 or more years of management experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
