Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Relief in Collegeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while supporting access points and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving reports, gathering basic information, and notifying site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions, while following posted instructions and required routes.
  • Control access through assigned entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor check-in and check-out, and documenting deliveries and service providers per site policy.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have Security Experience - 2+ Years.
  • CPR/First Aid - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
