Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex After-Hours Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. You will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related issues. You will respond to alarms and access control activity, support badge and visitor processes, and communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assistance and timely notification to property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building common areas, garage areas, loading and delivery zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and property activity, verify credentials when required by location policy, and address loitering and/or trespassing concerns in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate relevant updates to on-site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
