Armed Security Officer - Swing Transit Patrol

As a Armed Security Officer - Swing Transit Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, document observations, and communicate professionally with staff and the public. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and/or license, supported by Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government transportation location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas; document observations and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and public law enforcement as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, and/or checking credentials and vehicle authorizations in accordance with post orders.
• Carry and handle authorized equipment in compliance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws; complete required reports related to incidents, use of force, and equipment accountability.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
