As a Screener at a government location, you will support a welcoming, controlled entry experience by conducting access screening, monitoring assigned areas, and performing routine rounds. You will help identify prohibited items, operate screening equipment as needed, and document unusual activity while providing clear, respectful communication to visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct screening operations at entry points, which may include checking identification and credentials, verifying access authorization, and monitoring entrances and exits.
• Perform screening of persons and belongings using approved methods and equipment, and follow established protocols for prohibited or restricted items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activities and promptly notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the screening area, nearby public spaces, and perimeter as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
