Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a residential location where you will monitor the property, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and staff while providing a strong customer service presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential common areas, garages, amenity spaces, and the perimeter to help to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control by observing arrivals and departures, verifying authorization when required, and documenting visitor, vendor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes when appropriate and coordinating with property management and/or local law enforcement when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs on patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have a minimum of 6 months of armed security and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
