At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. We are seeking a senior Program Manager to develop and lead the business operating system for our entire Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfolio. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration by creating the programmatic framework that ensures the timely and efficient delivery of all ground hardware-from design to deployment-required to meet our high-cadence operational tempo.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a senior Systems Engineer to design and architect the integrated technical systems for our entire Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfolio. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration by creating the systems architecture and technical integration framework that ensures the technical performance, interoperability, and system reliability of all ground hardware-from requirements analysis to systems integration-required to meet our high-cadence operational tempo.

As the architect of our GSE systems integration, you will be responsible for establishing the technical architecture, interface requirements, and system design standards that govern how GSE components integrate, interface, and perform across multitudes of simultaneous hardware projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop, implement, and manage the technical architecture and systems integration framework for the entire GSE lifecycle, from requirements definition through system integration and validation.

* Establish and lead the technical design reviews and systems integration processes for the GSE program, including architecture reviews, interface control, technical performance, and systems validation.

* Serve as the primary technical authority for the collective systems architecture of the entire GSE hardware portfolio, providing technical guidance and design leadership.

* Drive the standardization of technical design tools (CAD systems, PLM integration, systems modeling tools), engineering processes, and technical performance standards across all GSE projects.

* Lead technical requirements analysis and systems architecture planning for the GSE organization in partnership with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and systems integration leadership.

* Identify technical risks, design bottlenecks, and systems integration challenges within the GSE technical architecture and lead engineering initiatives to implement technical solutions.

* Provide consolidated, technical leadership reporting on the systems architecture status, technical challenges, and integration outlook of the GSE program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Minimum of a B.S. degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical engineering field.

* 6+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, design integration, or technical architecture environment.

* Demonstrated experience establishing and managing technical systems architectures, including requirements analysis, interface control, design integration, and systems validation across a portfolio of engineering projects.

* Experience leading technical design and systems integration during new product development and the transition from design to production at a systems architecture level.

* Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary engineering teams in a matrix environment to adopt technical design standards and systems engineering processes.

* Strong technical analysis skills, including expertise in leveraging CAD systems, PLM tools (Windchill), systems modeling software, and technical analysis tools for systems engineering and design integration.

* Systems Engineering certification (INCOSE CSEP), PMP or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.

* Direct experience architecting and deploying systems engineering frameworks and technical integration methodologies in a complex hardware development environment.

* Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience with tools like SysML, Cameo, or similar systems modeling platforms.

* Requirements management and traceability systems expertise (DOORS, Jama, etc.).

* Technical risk analysis and failure mode analysis (FMEA, FTA) experience.

* Interface Control Document (ICD) development and management.

* Systems verification and validation (V&V) methodology expertise.

* Familiarity with aerospace systems engineering standards (ARP4754, DO-178, AS9100, IEEE standards).

* Deep understanding of Systems Engineering principles and experience applying them to improve technical integration across entire engineering value streams.

* Demonstrated ability to present complex technical architecture and systems engineering recommendations to executive leadership and engineering teams.
