Mercyhealth, a community-based healthcare network serving southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Mercyhealth Clinic in Stockton, IL. - 1.0 FTE (5-day work week) with flexible day-off scheduling to support work-life balance
- Rural outpatient-only practice with a loyal, established patient panel
- Minimal on-call responsibilities
- Patient-centered scheduling averaging at least two patients per clinical hour, allowing time for relationship-based care

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to patients across the lifespan
- Conduct patient evaluations including detailed health histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and lab results
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and best practices
- Promote preventive care and wellness, including screenings and immunizations
- Educate patients and families on disease management and healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
- Collaborate with care teams and refer patients to specialists as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based care
- Interest in practicing in a rural healthcare setting
Licensure/Certifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Illinois APRN license (or eligibility)
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- NP experience strongly preferred
