The University of Virginia's number one ranked Department of Student Health and Wellness (SHW) provides a comprehensive range of medical, mental health, well-being, and disability support services to all enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. The University of Virginia's Medical Services, a unit within the Department of Student Health and Wellness, is seeking a Nursing Supervisor. The Nursing Supervisor oversees activities of a dened group of nursing personnel. The Nursing Supervisor veries that patients' needs are met, evaluates nursing care and performance, participates in planning work assignments, and coordinates activities with other patient care services. They are also responsible for planning and organizing training for nursing personnel and participate in guidance and educational programs. They supervise nursing professionals, and work is done with minimal oversight.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program. Experience: At least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required. Licensure: License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certication required within 30 days of hire. Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping. Procient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body uids and infectious disease. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $104,000-$118,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
