Student-Central Sterilizing Services

Under general supervision, has operational responsibility for inventory management for Central Sterilizing Services; oversees and performs supply replenishment functions: releases orders, helps with linen, places supply in appropriate locations and troubleshoots issues. Assists in transportation of supplies and instruments across the facility.

**Current openings: flexible start times such as mornings and early afternoon. Primarily looking for daytime shifts around 7:00 AM start time. These positions will work through the summer and have ability to work up to 40 hours/week during summer break (up to 20 during the school year). Openings are located in the Turn Center within the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City.

* Performs inventory management for high volume of supplies and implants. Monitors and replenishes stock levels through use of multiple computer software programs and checks stock expiration dates. Documents usages in inventory system, restocks items, and adds new items to inventory.
* Facilitates the transport of instruments and trays between facilities to fulfill surgical services needs.
* Receives deliveries of consumables and instruments. Complete put-away and identify discrepancies. Escalate issues and priority items to appropriate personnel.
* Participates in and contributes to in-service programs on a regular basis. Helps with Linen folding and supply

* Performs other duties as assigned and assist with special projects as required.
