The Role:

Manage all aspects of the property's Security department, including departmental budget and all departmental staff. Ensure the physical security and safety of the entire property; develop and implement programs to safeguard the welfare and assets of all customers and team members.

Responsibilities:



  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers at all times.
  • Manage overall performance of Security department to ensure protection and safety of team members, customers, and casino assets.
  • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities and work schedules to department staff.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to Security department.
  • Develop and implement procedures for denying entry to gaming floor to underage or intoxicated individuals and disassociated persons (DAPs).
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, including capital expenditures.
  • Guide other departments in planning, recommending, and implementing any and all security programs as needed.
  • Ensure complete documentation of all systems and procedures to maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Missouri Gaming Commission, and all other applicable regulations.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Interview, hire, develop, and evaluate department staff.
  • Administer disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Regularly review all departmental activity with Vice President/General Manager and timely communicate all security issues.
  • Prepare and deliver reports as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member and customer information.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Missouri Gaming Commission and other applicable law enforcement and public safety agencies.
  • Understand and adhere to all deadlines established by internal controls and/or Missouri Gaming Commission.
  • Manage emergency and disaster plans for property and oversee periodic drills.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all customers and team members.


Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field plus at least five years of experience in security operations, or the equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Experience in the gaming industry is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Missouri Gaming Commission Level 1 occupational license.
  • High level public relations and customer service skills are required.
