Position Description:
The Salesforce Business Analyst will have diverse responsibilities primarily focused on technology and system implementations, delivering automation and improving our operational infrastructure, and supporting and enabling business programs. Business Analysts (BAs) help improve processes and efficiency in Salesforce by understanding business needs, capturing the project requirements, and collaborating/communicating with stakeholders to support development and implementation of the Salesforce solution. BAs work effectively with both people and information to facilitate a solution to a problem.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to manage multiple responsibilities and projects, while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Senior BA Responsibilities:

  • Technology Implementation Projects
    • Work with business teams and business process teams to understand business needs and translate into clear, detailed requirements
    • Advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet the business requirements and provide a positive user experience
    • Drive systems-related project execution in direct partnership with IT (system administrators and development scrum teams); document business results achieved through solution implementation
    • Lead UAT business planning and execution. Review QA and write UAT test scripts. Manage UAT with end-users including coordination and user acceptance sign-off
    • Partner with project stakeholders, IT, and System Administrator teams to plan and prepare for Go-Live and post-go live support
    • Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication, and change management. May engage with Change Management/Communications teams to plan for and review change management content for project launches
  • Program Operations & Portfolio Support
    • Support the Features & Enhancements program lifecycle from intake to go-live, ensuring a clear, efficient, and data-driven process. This role is crucial for optimizing the L2O roadmap, maintaining a healthy project backlog, and continuously improving our delivery model to provide the most impact solutions for our sellers

A typical day may include:

  • Writing business requirements and creating a process flow, then reviewing with a project member for feedback
  • Setting up and facilitating meetings to understanding business pain points, then synthesizing the meeting and sending out meeting decisions and action items
  • Coordinating and leading UATs, writing test cases, and/or performing UAT in a sandbox for an enhancement
  • Supporting project stakeholders by contributing to a project plan to define project timelines and align project stakeholders on the plan
  • Reading existing documentation and running reports to look for insights in the data to investigate issues
  • Facilitating leadership reviews to prioritize new requests and ensure alignment with the L2O roadmap
  • Analyzing the Features & Enhancements project backlog to identify opportunities for process improvement and maintain a clean, organized queue
  • Collaborating with Domain Leads and DET to discuss the current state of the roadmap, and plan for upcoming program increments

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, or focus in Project/Program management
  • Executes complete work independently as a strong team contributor
  • Structures own work to meet all deadlines, is able to shoulder additional workload, and adds value by exceeding original plans
  • Attentive to others' points of view and possesses good collaboration skills
  • Demonstrates use of listening and questioning techniques to understand issues and problems
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with team members and build a strong positive personal brand that fosters trust
  • Ability to shift priorities, change style and respond with new approaches as needed to meet evolving business goals
  • Experience with and understanding of the Salesforce platform; demonstrated knowledge of Salesforce capabilities/potential to provide solutions to business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to break down a business process and break down into manageable steps.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for multi-stakeholder alignment, simplifying complex analysis through compelling storytelling slides, and producing high-quality documentation.
  • Proficient in Google Slides and Sheets, Lucidchart or Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to become a trusted advisor with key stakeholders
  • Team player with collaborative methods of engagement, and an inquisitive, positive, roll-up sleeves attitude.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or software implementation lifecycle
  • Attention to Detail: hashtag (#) your favorite Salesforce capability/feature that you use most often in solving business problems somewhere on your resume.
  • Ability to synthesize business pain points and people/process/technology issues to formulate proposals to remediate them
  • Proven success and experience with a complex, enterprise-wide project
  • Proven ability to analyze and improve business processes and workflow
  • Strong skills in facilitating cross-functional leadership discussions, driving consensus on prioritization, and communicating program changes effectively
  • Familiarity with managing a backlog of features and enhancements, ensuring they are well-defined, properly prioritized, and aligned with strategic goals
  • Systems Analyst or Consulting experience

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced Knowledge of Business Systems and Salesforce.com certifications
  • Sales Operations or Business Operations experience is a plus, with understanding of seller workflows
  • Exposure to or interest in analyzing customer lifecycle trends (lead opportunity customer renewal/expansion) to identify gaps and surface improvements for stakeholders. Experience bridging Sales and Customer Success processes to create seamless handoffs and lifecycle continuity.
  • Bachelors' degree in business, computer science or related field
