From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sanitation Operator III based in Nampa, ID. Requirements
The Operator III - Sanitation works independently in the proper disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of machines. This role is responsible for safe handling of sanitation chemicals, inspection of equipment after cleaning, and ensuring all assigned areas are sanitized to prevent bacteriological contamination of cheese and maintain food-safety compliance. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: * Disassembles machine lines to clean and disinfect according to established sanitation procedures. * Performs daily swabs of equipment to verify effectiveness of sanitation activities. * Reassembles all equipment taken apart and prepares equipment for production, ensuring timely production resumption. * Maintains a clean and organized work area. * Interacts with associates to maintain efficient process flow. * Maintains open communication with line workers and supervisors. * Performs sanitation duties as assigned, including safe use of caustic and acidic cleaning chemicals. * Reports problems and/or concerns to the on-duty supervisor. * Attends departmental meetings and training as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager. * Takes necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment. * Performs other work duties as assigned. From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education * High School Diploma or completion of GED preferred by not required. Experience * 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, industrial sanitation, or chemical-handling environments preferred. * Experience with sanitation chemicals, PPE protocols, or cleaning equipment strongly preferred. * Experience in general cleaning and customer service is beneficial. Specialized Knowledge * Basic knowledge of chemical handling, dilution, or sanitation procedures (SDS, labels, PPE). * Familiarity with CIP/COP or foaming/spray sanitation processes a plus. Skills / Abilities * Oral and written communication skills. * English language and customer service skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks at once with frequent interruptions. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation steps, and production hygiene requirements. * Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual attendance. * Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. * Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe work conditions. * Ability to work safely with hazardous cleaning chemicals and follow established safety procedures.
