Data Center Cable Technician - No Experience Necessary Gallatin, TN \| Contract-to-Hire \| Local Candidates Only TEKsystems is hiring Cable Technicians for an ongoing data center project in Gallatin, TN - and we're open to just about anyone with a solid hands-on background who isn't afraid of a hard day's work. You don't need a resume full of cabling experience. If you've worked construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or any other trade where you've worked with your hands and stayed on your feet all day, we want to hear from you. We'll teach you the rest. This is a contract role with a real path to getting hired on permanently. Show up, work hard, and the opportunity is there. What You'll Be Doing * Installing, routing, dressing, and terminating CAT6 cabling inside a data center facility * Following blueprints, drawings, and installation standards * Performing basic testing, inspections, and troubleshooting * Working as part of a crew alongside onsite teams and supervisors * Keeping accurate records of work completed * Following all job site safety policies - safety is non-negotiable here What You Need * High school diploma or GED * A hands-on background - construction, landscaping, manufacturing, trades, or similar work counts * Ability to be on your feet and work with your hands all day * Strong work ethic and attention to detail * Reliable transportation - you must be within 30 miles of Gallatin, TN * Willingness to learn - if you've got the right attitude, we'll train you on the technical side Nice to Have * Any previous experience with low voltage or structured cabling * Familiarity with CAT6 cabling standards * Experience in commercial or data center environments Why This Role * No cabling experience required - we're hiring for attitude and work ethic * Contract-to-hire - do good work and this becomes a permanent position * Ongoing need - this isn't a one-and-done project, there's real staying power here * Work close to home - local candidates within 30 miles of Gallatin only * Get your foot in the door of the data center industry, one of the fastest growing sectors around Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
