Senior Fire Alarm Technician / Lead Location: Nashville, TN Company: TEKsystems About the Opportunity TEKsystems is expanding its life safety and security operations into the Nashville market, marking the first location where local Fire Alarm installation and service will be fully supported. This expansion is driven by a large, multiyear (5year) contract starting in July, covering both fire alarm and security systems across major commercial environments. To support this growth, TEKsystems is building a highcaliber Fire Alarm team-starting with a Senior* Fire Alarm Technician / Lead* who will help establish standards, processes, and best practices in this new market. Position Overview This is a handson, Seniorlevel role with leadership influence, ideal for a technician who wants ownership, stability, and the opportunity to help build something from the ground up. You will lead Fire Alarm installation and service work, support large commercial projects, and play a key role in shaping the future growth of the Nashville fire alarm team. A company vehicle is provided. Candidates must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Key Responsibilities * Perform handson installation, service, and troubleshooting of commercial Fire Alarm systems * Lead field work independently and serve as a technical resource for projects * Install and service Fire Alarm devices including: * Smoke and heat detectors * Pull stations * Horn/strobes * Fire Alarm panels and relays * Bend and run EMT and rigid conduit for Fire Alarm systems * Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, local fire codes, and inspection requirements * Work professionally in occupied commercial environments * Help establish standards, workflows, and best practices in a new market Required Qualifications * 3+ years of handson commercial Fire Alarm installation and/or service experience * Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, local fire codes, and inspection processes * Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve Fire Alarm system issues independently * Experience bending and installing EMT and rigid conduit * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred Qualifications * NICET Fire Alarm Certification (Level I-III preferred) * Experience with major Fire Alarm platforms such as: * Notifier * Simplex * FireLite * Honeywell * Bosch * Edwards * Prior experience as a Lead Technician or Senior* Technician* * Exposure to security systems (access control, CCTV) is a plus * Experience supporting new market launches or growing technical teams Experience Level * Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
