What this job involves:

Drive strategic space planning excellence as an Occupancy Planner with JLL, where you'll assist with development of migration plans and sequencing of group-level and individual moves while facilitating and resolving planning issues identified in customer planning meetings. You'll ensure planning is aligned with corporate guidelines maximizing space use while recommending, educating, and enforcing space policies, standards, procedures, and protocols, notifying clients of customer requested exceptions. This role positions you at the center of occupancy planning operations, where your expertise in corporate real estate, forecasting, and client advisory services will directly impact space optimization and organizational success. Your contributions will support JLL's occupancy planning excellence while you prepare and update project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand at building level, report on current supply and capacity, forecast inventory changes, assemble and update top-down and bottoms-up seat count projections for annual planning horizons, and work with clients to reconcile discrepancies while tracking actual seat demand at group level.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Migration Planning & Move Sequencing:Assist with development of migration plans and sequencing of group-level and individual moves while facilitating and resolving planning issues identified in customer planning meetings ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines
  • Space Optimization & Policy Enforcement:Ensure all scenarios maximize space use while recommending, educating, and enforcing space policies, standards, procedures, and protocols, notifying clients of customer requested exceptions and becoming familiar with space utilization methods
  • Forecasting & Reporting:Prepare and update project status reports on actual seat demand versus projected seat demand at building level, report on current supply and capacity, and forecast inventory changes as required
  • Seat Count Projections:Assemble, update, and report top-down and bottoms-up seat count projections collected at group-level for annual planning horizon while working with clients to reconcile discrepancies from top-down projections
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Foster critical relationships with Corporate Real Estate reviewing planning forecast requirements, Business Unit leadership collecting headcount forecasts, Corporate Finance gathering projections, Project Management reviewing planning strategies, and Move Coordination teams developing migration plans
  • Data Analysis & Presentations:Present utilization data to drive productive spaces using advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, cell calculations) and consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations for clients
  • Strategic Planning Coordination:Work with other occupancy planning team members to ensure cross-campus and portfolio strategy plans are developed while tracking and reporting actual seat demand at group level

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field required with minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, cell calculations) and AutoCAD (basic test-fits and square foot calculations) with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to consolidate data and floor plans into PowerPoint presentations
  • Great knowledge in Corporate Real Estate with understanding of space planning principles, forecasting methodologies, and portfolio management demonstrating capability to maximize space utilization
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken with strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients across organizational levels
  • Ability to prepare project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand, assemble seat count projections for annual planning horizons, and reconcile discrepancies between top-down and bottoms-up forecasts
  • Capability to foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations including Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Project Management, and Move Coordination teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage time to meet deadlines while reorganizing time day-to-day to deal with team's changing necessities and requests

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in space/occupancy planning at strategic level demonstrating understanding of long-term portfolio planning, scenario analysis, and strategic space allocation methodologies
  • Experience with interior office renovations demonstrating understanding of construction sequencing, phasing strategies, and ability to develop migration plans supporting renovation projects
  • CAFM system experience highly desirable with understanding of occupancy planning platforms (Archibus, FM Systems, Serraview) and ability to leverage technology for forecasting and reporting
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms, advanced data visualization tools, or forecasting software that enhances analytical capabilities and strategic planning insights Background supporting organizational change initiatives, workplace transformation programs, or large-scale relocation projects demonstrating understanding of change management principles
  • Advanced experience presenting to executive leadership, supporting strategic decision-making, or serving as trusted advisor in corporate real estate environments with demonstrated business acumen

Estimated compensation for this position:

67,000.00 - 97,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
