Compliance Manager
Location: Omaha, NE
Position Summary
Fortis Healthcare Solutions, a leading healthcare staffing company, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Compliance Manager to support and execute compliance and credentialing operations. This role will work closely with the Director of Compliance and is responsible for managing day-to-day compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting both in-office and remote team members. The ideal candidate brings strong operational experience, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the compliance and credentialing function, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all processes.
- Support oversight of both in-office and remote compliance team members, helping drive accountability, productivity, and collaboration.
- Execute credentialing and re-credentialing processes, ensuring applications, verifications, and updates are completed on time.
- Perform Primary Source Verification (PSV) for licenses, certifications, liability insurance, and other required documentation in accordance with NCQA standards and company policies.
- Assist in maintaining Joint Commission compliance, including audit preparation, reporting, and ongoing readiness efforts.
- Ensure accurate and timely state reporting in alignment with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the credentialing database, ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reports to leadership, highlighting performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay current on state, federal, and industry regulations to support ongoing compliance efforts.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and company confidentiality standards at all times.
- Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture focused on accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Support onboarding and training of compliance team members to strengthen process consistency and regulatory knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of compliance or credentialing experience, preferably within healthcare staffing or a healthcare environment.
- Experience supporting or leading team workflows, with exposure to both in-office and remote team structures.
- Working knowledge of NCQA standards, Joint Commission requirements, credentialing processes, and regulatory compliance practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
