Top Skills' Details 1) Previous experience managing a network modernization project (wireless, wired, A/V, etc) 2) Experience ensuring teams have completed preparatory work, scheduling outages and communicating with building contacts, status reporting and budget monitoring 3) Prior management of large complex projects and programs; experience using formal project management methodologies and scheduling tools (TeamDynamix Preferred) Description * Seeking an experienced project manager with particular experience with network infrastructure projects, including large scale deployments of low voltage cabling (fiber & copper) upgrades, network switches, and wireless access points. * Familiarity with enterprise AV installations is a plus. * The candidate will co-facilitate the deployment of wireless APs across multiple buildings between performed by multiple external contractors (matrix management of approx. 30 external crews + 5-10 internal staff, schedule management, PM coordination across multiple entities, issue management & escalation, weekly status reporting, budget monitoring). * Will be simultaneously performing network upgrades in buildings to include cable remediation, adding new and swapping existing APs, and switch upgrades primarily performed by staff with cabling support from external vendors against an existing schedule. * Work includes ensuring teams have completed all preparatory work, scheduling outages and communicating with building contacts, site visits to ensure progress, status reporting and budget monitoring. * There will be multiple weekly progress meetings (virtual or in person depending on need) with project teams, contractors, executive management and stakeholders throughout the engagement, along with work sessions with the vendor project manager to ensure progress, review & plan mitigation of risks & issues, discover process improvements, etc. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of East Lansing, MI.
