DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform maintenance and repair work. Your work will involve performing carpentry work such as repairing roofs, installing windows, building shelves, and installing plywood and piping. You will perform plumbing work such as installing and repairing bathroom fixtures. Some of your duties will also include preparing areas for painting, installing and replicating electrical items, and building forms with cement. You will also maintain tools and equipment for work by making minor repairs or performing preventative maintenance. Additionally, you will maintain the grounds and walkways by performing landscaping work, performing snow removal, and keeping areas free of debris. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

- You must maintain favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in commercial carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration and/or HVAC trades
- Experience in commercial and structural maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears, and 3-phase panels
- Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats, and instantaneous water heaters
- Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings
- Any formal training (high school vocational program, apprenticeship, or post-high school technical training program) in a skilled building, electrical, or mechanical trade
- Experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades? (Examples of qualifying trades include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, steamfitting/pipefitting, refrigeration/HVAC, painting, roofing/tinsmith, drywall/plasterer, and automotive mechanic work that includes performing technical duties on motors, engines, and electrical systems.)
