We are looking for anApplied Scientist II to join our team to help shape the future of how Office users interact with Copilot and AI.In this role,you'llwork closely with engineers, program managers, data scientists and applied scientists to improve our approach to personalized experiences, best leverage and fine tune foundational models, advance evaluation techniques, and improve engineering productivity. Responsibilities will include leading advanced evaluations and datasets, formulation ofadvancedprompt engineering,selecting andfine-tuningLLMs, develop concepts for more efficient andaccuratesolutions,andresearching andassessingdifferent architectures and approachesfrom across the M365 ecosystem.Youwillconnectwith leaders and subject matter experts across the company andplay a key role in building reliable, measurable systems that bridgecutting-edgeAIwith their expression across M365 Copilot user experiences. Applied Sciences IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
