Security Officer Access Control Patrol

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, parking areas, lobbies, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations at a technology-focused location by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general questions, and completing required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
