Job Description




As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will patrol assigned areas, perform routine driving patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations through clear communication, integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, agile approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse, dock, trailer yard, parking, and perimeter areas, with attention to access points, loading zones, and other high-traffic locations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and delivery traffic, helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting site protocols for credentials, vehicle checks, and/or visitor processing.
  • Observe site operations and report hazards, equipment issues, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations that could impact daily distribution and transportation activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
