These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries and improve their physical, emotional, and functional well-being. Involves assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
These roles are responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. Respiratory therapists provide oxygen therapy, manage ventilators, conduct breathing exercises, and monitor lung function to ensure patients receive optimal respiratory care. Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. Requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools through extensive work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations. Trains, delegates and reviews the work of lower-level employees. Problems typically are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program. Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (BSRC) or related health science required. Masters level degree in Respiratory Therapy or related health science preferred. Experience: 5 working years of acute/critical care Respiratory Therapy full-time work experience. License/Certification:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling; Reaching: (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $39.92 hourly.
