Zayo is seeking a Senior Product Owner, Network Connectivity & Systems to be responsible for driving the successful delivery of product and system enhancements across Zayo's connectivity portfolio. Operating as a key bridge between Product (the "what & why") and Engineering (the "how"), this role translates business needs into clear user stories, aligns stakeholders, and guides initiatives through development, UAT, and release.

Our Senior Product Owner, Network Connectivity & Systems owns the execution of enhancements across Tranzact, Salesforce, CPQ, order automation, and supporting backend systems that enable quoting, ordering, and delivery of Zayo's network connectivity products.

You will ensure the digital experience for packet and connectivity products is accurate, efficient, and

increasingly automated-resulting in reduced operational effort and improved customer outcomes.

  • More fully automated connectivity orders, reducing manual intervention.

  • Improved quoting accuracy and reduced quoting failure rates.

  • Faster delivery of new portal and product features.

  • Well-organized, transparent, actionable backlogs for assigned initiatives.

  • Smooth UAT cycles with minimal post-release defects.

  • Strong credibility with engineering teams and trusted partnership with Product.

  • Clear, complete, and buildable user stories and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Scrum Product Owner for initiatives spanning network connectivity products, digital quoting workflows, Salesforce, and portal functionality.

  • Translate high-level product strategy into actionable backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans.

  • Work closely with the Product organization to refine scope, clarify requirements, and ensure all deliverables align to business outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce, CPQ, automation, and engineering teams to ensure system changes are well understood, feasible, and properly prioritized.

  • Lead refinement sessions, clarify requirements, and support sprint planning with engineering teams.

  • Drive UAT planning, execution, and validation for your owned initiatives.

  • Own backlog health for specific connectivity and system-related projects while contributing to broader cross-product initiatives.

  • Ensure new features and system changes improve automation, quoting accuracy, and digital customer experience.

  • Partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams to identify dependencies, risks, and technical nuances without needing to own deep engineering-level design work.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for packet and connectivity product workflows across Zayo's digital ecosystem.

  • Monitor post-release performance, gather data, and contribute insights that help inform future enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years in product ownership, product analysis, or business systems roles supporting complex digital environments (telecom a strong plus).

  • Deep familiarity with Salesforce, CPQ/quoting, order workflows, or customer portal systems.

  • Understanding of connectivity or packet-based telecom products (or strong willingness/ability to learn quickly).

  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear, testable requirements and user stories.

  • Experience serving as a Product Owner within an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps, dependencies, and edge cases.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities-comfortable working across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations.

  • A mindset focused on execution, delivery, continuous improvement, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Curiosity to grow technically (e.g., ability to read API documentation, understand system behavior) without requiring software development expertise.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $112,800.00 - $173,600.00 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
