Tesla's Energy& ChargingServices organization operates and maintainsdeployed assets including North American residential & commercial solar, global behind-the-meter & front-of-meter storage, and global electric vehicle charging infrastructure.The mission of the organization is to maximize fleet health and delight our customers while minimizing the cost ofmaintainingthe fleet.

TheEnergy Services Data &Analytics team supportsthedataengineering andanalyticsneeds ofthe residentialorganization: including Field Service, Technical Support, Contact Centers, Asset Management, and other functions. TheAnalytics Managerwillbe accountable tobuild and maintaintools and dashboards that help usmonitorfleet health, measure service efficiency and effectiveness, and automate processes. Theteamwill unearth valuable business intelligence and help drive smart business decisions.

The Energy ServicesTransformation & Analytics team is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning. Team members are expected to partner closely with the business to analyze technical data, provide recommendations, and leadcross-functional decision-making and implementation of the recommendations.


What You'll Do
  • Manage a team of Data Analystswhoareresponsible forbuildingapplications,tools & dashboards used by Energy Servicesleaders and high-impact functions, such as Scheduling
  • Translate business problems intoanalytical requirements andworkflow automationtools
  • Apply Data Engineering techniques, such as Python and ETLs,to aggregate information from multiple servers and sources to simplify complexprocesses into a scalable Data Analytics tool
  • Partner with Software Engineering and Business Intelligence tomake information captured in proprietary software tools available for Data Analysis
  • Own cross-functional relationships with business leaders, such as Field Managers, todevelopinsightfulmetrics andhelpuse analytics tools to make better decisions
  • Define and implement efficiency measures for end-to-endserviceoperations management: processing of inbound customer issues, scheduling & planning, and field execution
  • Developtools that can be used by internal Tesladepartmentsto report to B2B customers, such as PowerwallInstallers'quality,defective partreturns, and outstanding service issues

What You'll Bring
  • 7+years ofprofessionalexperience inquantitative analysis oranalytics, including team leadership and management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineeringor Sciencepreferredorand/commensurateexperience
  • Anexpertisein SQL, python, Microsoft Excel, and visualization tools likePowerBIor Tableau
  • Data Engineering skillsets to extract, transform, and load (ETL) information fromdifferent sourcesinto a single table for Data Analysis using tools such as Python
  • Strong problem-solving skills to help refine problem statements and figure out how to solve them with the available data
  • Ability tothrivein fast-pace, high volume, andambiguous environments, taking initiative to create clarity and forward progress
  • Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects, especially those consisting of both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    Expected Compensation
    $112,000 - $204,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
