Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Python and React JS Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for an Application Developer position within Market Risk Technology. The successful candidate will work on a next-generation suite of applications focused on Python, Big Data Processing, Administration, and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Understand all aspects of Market Risk applications/initiatives that span across Market Risk Regulatory Reporting, VaR analysis, Limit Management, Issuer and Counterparty Risk management
• Work with QA and Support groups to adhere to release procedures
• Work with Business Analysts during the UAT phase and support UAT
• Work with the Production Support Team during the Production Release cycle and provide support for the release

Requirements:

• Strong experience with React JS and Python
• Python experience including Multi-Threading, ORM libraries, and web frameworks (Django/Flask)
• UNIX programming and shell scripting
• Good SQL experience with Relational database (Sybase/Oracle) programming
• Strong unit testing and debugging skills
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN)
• Have a good understanding of the end-to-end process of the application

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
