Job Summary : Job Profile SummaryThis position functions are a part of the oncology clinical team to ensure evidence-based patient care is provided in alignment with best practice guidelines in all pieces of the oncology continuum. To provide nursing care that is patient and family centered in an environment that exemplifies best practice and customer service; fosters relationship-based care; and maintains the integrity of professional nursing standards. Nursing care guidelines are based on the ANA Code of Ethics (1), Indiana Nurse Practice Act (2), Nursing Process, and regulatory agency standards by which the RN provides patient care and shared leadership for the unit. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: 1. Practices autonomously and serves as an extension of the provider to perform oncology specific physical, mental, and psychosocial assessments, interpret patient lab and imaging results, provide symptom management needs and education, and supports management of drug interactions or reactions. 6.
