As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, transit access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and visitors while following post orders and applicable regulations for a government location.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance to the public, and completing required reports related to incidents, observations, and/or patrol activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
