Daikin Applied is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician I. Location: Staunton, VA - In-Office

Your Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in EHS software
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental audits and inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks
  • Provide site specific data to assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Learn how to analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, injuries, and illnesses
  • Maintain safety data sheets and other safety-related documentation
  • Provide site specific data for preparation of EHS reports and presentations
  • Coordinate and assist in conducting EHS training sessions for employees
  • Participle in EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Promote Daikin's goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations and industry best practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related field preferred
  • Taproot certification preferred
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in environmental safety or manufacturing

The typical hourly pay for this position ranges from $25.72 to $42.44 in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
