Description

The Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel is seeking a creative, skilled, guest-focused Room Attendant to join its fun-spirited team! Must work evenings & weekends. The 250+ room hotel, with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers. Our property is just a short drive from the world-famous Mall of America. Some of our features include a full-service, modern American Restaurant concept featuring creatively crafted interpretations of Food and Beverage with a Minnesota twist. Other amenities include our indoor heated junior Olympic-sized pool, whirlpool, and 24-hour fitness center.

We offer a comprehensive full-time benefits package that includes EARLY PAY OR EARNED WAGE ACCESS (we get paid before payday) and medical, dental, and vision benefits through UNITE HERE Local 17, Minnesota's Hospitality Union! The pay Range is $17.00-$17.50, based on experience, paid time off, wellness programs, excellent hotel discounts, and more. Eligible for up to two raises per year during their first four years of employment.

In this role, you will excel in delivering outstanding Guest Services as a vital member of our Housekeeping TEAM. You will be responsible for achieving and maintaining guest satisfaction by creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere. From the moment guests enter their room, the attendant ensures they experience a sense of relief and comfort.

$17 per hour

Essential Job Functions:



  • Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly addressing requests with professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Assist in guest satisfaction efforts by ensuring lost or misplaced items are properly reported and returned whenever possible.
  • Prepare housekeeping carts with all required cleaning supplies and linens to support efficient completion of daily assignments.
  • Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms and public areas by dusting surfaces, removing trash, sanitizing bathrooms, changing bed linens, and replenishing towels and amenities to hotel standards.
  • Report low supply levels, maintenance concerns, and equipment issues promptly to management to support smooth daily operations.
  • Meet productivity expectations, including thoroughly cleaning a minimum of 16 guest rooms per shift.


Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This position involves intensive manual labor and requires employees to remain physically active throughout the shift. Duties may vary in difficulty depending on room conditions, guest usage, occupancy levels, and daily operational demands.



  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Push and pull housekeeping carts weighing between 50 and 100 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive physical movements, including bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, scrubbing, and reaching overhead, for extended periods.
  • Work in confined spaces such as bathrooms and guest room areas.
  • Maintain a fast-paced work schedule while meeting daily cleanliness and productivity standards.

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.


Experience:



  • Previous Housekeeping Room Attendant experience preferred.
