Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, Blood Donor Center, the Apheresis Technician I performs donor registration, screening, whole blood collection, automated platelet and red blood cell apheresis collections and preparation of components from collected whole blood. Provides excellent customer service. Balances production, donor care and quality requirements to meet annual blood collection goals. The Apheresis Technician I complies with all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as, hospital policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the donor and quality of the blood components.

In this role, you'll develop hands-on clinical skills in phlebotomy, donor care, and blood component preparation while working in a regulated healthcare environment. Shifts include 7:00-3:30, 7:00-5:30, or 7:00-7:30 with occasional weekends. Candidates with patient care, phlebotomy, or medical assistant experience-and bilingual skills-are encouraged to apply.
