Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated AI/Data Scientist Intern to join our business intelligence team for the summer of 2026. This role will center on the design, development, and deployment of AI agents to support business intelligence, automation, and decision-making initiatives.

As an intern, you will work with real-world datasets across sales, supply chain, operations, and finance while contributing to the development of intelligent systems that leverage modern machine learning and agent-based architectures.

THE DAY TO DAY...

  • Collaborate with senior team members to understand business problems and identify opportunities for AI agent solutions

  • Assist in designing, developing, and iterating on AI agents using modern frameworks and tools

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from various sources

  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to inform model and agent design

  • *Develop and test machine learning models and integrate them into agent workflows

  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in Python to support model development and deployment

  • Contribute to building pipelines for training, evaluation, and monitoring of AI systems

  • Support the deployment and optimization of AI agents in real-world business applications

  • Document workflows, experiments, and technical designs

YOU WILL GAIN EXPERIENCE IN

  • Designing and implementing AI agents and autonomous workflows

  • Applying machine learning in production-oriented environments

  • Working with large-scale, real-world business datasets

  • Building end-to-end ML systems, from data ingestion to deployment

  • Using modern ML/AI tools and frameworks (Python, APIs, cloud platforms, LLM tooling)

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders

THE QUALIFICATIONS...

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM-related field (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)

  • Experience with Python for data analysis, machine learning, or software development (academic or project-based)

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

  • Interest in or exposure to AI agents, LLMs, or generative AI frameworks

  • Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles

  • Experience with SQL and working with data is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies quickly

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
