Leidos currently has a career opportunity for aDeputy Program Managerto support the Air Force.

At Leidos, we help our customers execute programs for the world's most critical missions. Leidos has an opening for a Deputy Program Manager supporting the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) program. The Deputy Program Manager will work directly with the Leidos Program Manager, Leidos team leaders, and customer representatives to deliver high-quality IT services in support of critical Air Force missions.

This position requires on-site presence during the workday. The AFNCR team is spread across Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and the Pentagon, all of whichare located inthe National Capital Region (NCR). The Deputy PM will be primarily working from JBA but may berequiredto work remotely at JBAB, or at the Pentagon from time to time to support the needs of the mission.

Primary Tasks

  • Carry out program-wide strategic and operational initiatives. Lead the deployment of people, process, and technology innovations to improve service delivery.
  • Partner with program senior leaders to achieve program success: meet or exceed all PerformanceRequirements/Service-LevelAgreements, maximize award fee, hit financial targets, increase customer satisfaction, and continue positive trajectory of on-contract growth.
  • Respond to ad hoc mission requirements from the customer, leading the combination ofappropriate programteams to develop and deliver the solution/approach to address the requirements.
  • Backup the Program Manager, covering customer and internal meetings and providing program direction asrequired.
  • Monitor program financials and schedules, collaborating with program financial analysts to improve the fidelity of estimates and to proactively address cost/schedule issues before they occur.
  • Generate Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and lead proposals for new large project opportunities, ranging from <$1M to $10M+ each.
  • Ensuretimelyand quality delivery of CDRLs. Lead preparation and delivery for CDRLs assigned to the PMO.
  • Manage the program roster, including organizational, location, and contact information for each staff member.
  • Foster collaboration and retention initiatives across the program team.
  • Support financial performance (revenue, operating income, margin) against the Annual Operating Plan, including a focus on maximizing profitability.
  • Manage the growth,performanceand professional development of staff.
  • Build a culture grounded in Leidos values, beliefs, and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behavior.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with Air Force ITSoperations.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must hold active DoD Secret clearance or higher, and able to obtain a DoD Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Program Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education with a minimum of 8+ years relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of direct staff management experience in delivery of information systems or computer network support services for IT operations.
  • Possess a current DoD 8140 compliant certification, preference is PMP.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and lead a highly motivated and skilled workforce of cybersecurity professionals.
  • Ability to ensure contract deliverables are provided on schedule and withappropriate accuracyand completeness.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with quick-response deadlines.
  • Experience managing a high number of personnel to include responsibility for annual performance reviews.
  • Experience working in both Classified and Unclassified operations.
  • Experience managing a blended team made up of a variety of skillsets, responsibilities, andLeidos/subcontractors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity managing cost, schedule, contracts, and subcontracts following Leidos processes.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Program Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education with a minimum of 8+ years relevant experience.
