We are currently seeking an Assistant Clinical Director to join our professional team!

Hermitage Hall (a UHS company) is one of Middle Tennessee's largest stand-alone psychiatric residential treatment hospitals. Licensed by Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services as a mental health residential treatment center for children and youth, Hermitage Hall has provided services to families for over 30 years. Position Summary:The Assistant Clinical Director will assist the development and management of clinical services through supervision of Clinical Department, and Testing and Assessment Services. Assists in the oversight of appropriate development and implementation of individual treatment planning, and appropriate discharge planning for residents. Assists in supervision of assessment and evaluation services. Assists in Coordinating and facilitating clinical meetings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates skill in counseling, interviewing, and assisting residents during individual sessions
  • Demonstrates group therapy skills
  • Demonstrates ability to engage families as evident by active participation and establishing mutual goals.
  • Does everything within the therapist's control to be successful in discharging residents by projected discharge date.
  • Schedules and conducts individual therapy with each resident.
  • Plans and leads therapy group as scheduled by the program.
  • Conducts family therapy, as indicated in treatment planning and contract requirements, until resident is discharged from residential treatment.
  • Demonstrates understanding of human sexuality and sex offender dynamics, as well as skill in discussing sexual issues with residents without embarrassment.
  • Develops a therapeutic relationship (empathic, caring, supportive) with each resident while maintaining role as an appropriate authority figure

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related social services field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with emotionally disturbed individuals preferred; experience in a residential juvenile treatment setting, including juvenile sexual behavior treatment programs, strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment principles, treatment planning, community reintegration, family therapy, family education, and family needs assessments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and documenting individualized treatment plans preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact collaboratively and respectfully with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to meet documentation, paperwork, and timeliness requirements associated with assigned duties.

Licenses:

Licensed Psychologist / Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Professional Counselor or licensed in a related social science.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
