The Site Payroll and Projects Coordinator supports the execution of key operational activities and projects within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role begins with hands-on support in payroll data validation and procurement coordination to ensure accurate payroll processing and uninterrupted site operations. Over time, the position will expand to support cross-functional initiatives across operations, quality, and continuous improvement, contributing to compliance, efficiency, and overall site performance in alignment with aerospace standards. This is a fully onsite position located in Sylmar, California.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Data Coordination

  • Review, validate, and correct timekeeping data to ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll requirements

  • Partner with supervisors and HR to resolve discrepancies and meet payroll deadlines

  • Maintain accurate documentation in support of internal controls and audit readiness

Operations & Procurement Support

  • Update reports to leadership

  • Coordinate and place orders for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) materials and services

  • Track purchase orders, monitor delivery timelines, and follow up with vendors to ensure continuity of operations

  • Support inventory and material availability to prevent production disruptions

Project Coordination

  • Assist in planning, tracking, and execution of site-level operational and quality-related projects

  • Maintain project trackers, schedules, and status updates

  • Coordinate across operations, quality, maintenance, and support functions to ensure alignment and timely execution

Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support initiatives aligned with AS9100 quality standards and site compliance requirements

  • Assist with documentation control, process standardization, and audit preparation activities

  • Participate in root cause corrective action (RCCA) efforts and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support Lean practices, including waste reduction, process flow improvements, and standard work

Qualifications

  • Only US Citizens, Green card holders, political asylees, or refugees are eligible to apply

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of experience

  • Non degreed candidates with an Associate's degree or high school diploma with 5+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, administrative, payroll, or similar roles.

  • Familiarity with AS9100, quality systems, or regulated industry standards

  • Experience with payroll/timekeeping systems and processes, i.e. UKG, Kronos, ADP, similar

  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

The base salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 2.5% of base salary.
