Configuration Mgmt Analyst III ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- This position requires high creativity and motivation with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
- Support project management team in identification of product configuration Items (CI)
- Perform change management tasks as defined in CM process documents.
- Working knowledge for performing Configuration Status Accounting (CSA).
- Coordinate and facilitate product Physical Configuration Audits (PCA).
- Coordinate and facilitate product Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) if required.
- Develop CSA reports.
- ensure correctness, completeness, and currency of the data in the CMDB through administering configuration Status Accounting Discovery
- Support document control personnel as required.
- Coordinate with other remotely located team members to facilitate completion of all CM process steps.
- Providing training and support to users of the CMDB and CMDB processes, including troubleshooting issues and answering questions
- Recommend CM process improvements to management.
- Guide and mentor junior CM analyst.
- Act as CM process subject matter expert to other functional groups within the company.
- Assist with the preparation of and take part in various program reviews.
- Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the Organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will have minimal supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Ability to interpret SOW with respect to CM Requirements
- Ability to interpret OEP, ROM bidding efforts for CM requirements.
- Ensures CM is linked to business objectives.
- Designing and implementing CM strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Defining CM processes and workflows that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Configuring and maintaining CM according to the organization's needs, including defining relationships between configuration items, managing attributes, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Implementing CM processes and workflows, to support process automation, defining roles and responsibilities, and developing communication plans.
- Chairing the configuration control board (CCB) and enacting changes as directed
- Experience with MIL/DOD standards in particular IA-649 and MIL-HDBK-61
- Desired hands-on experience with Solid Works PDM or other Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) systems.
- Familiar with database systems and concepts.
- Working knowledge of software Configuration Management
- Must be extremely detailed oriented, task focused, efficient, and organized.
- Strong Written and Verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and follow through.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a bachelor's degree in a related filed at an accredited college or university.
- Must show a work history of no less than 10 years of work-related experience with CM preferred.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, etc.
- NDIA or other similar certifications desired.
- Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Creative thinker and proactive problem solver.
- A positive, "can do" attitude.
- NDIA or other similar certifications desired.
- Must be able to maintain and obtain Government Security Clearance.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Overtime may be required.
