Who We are:
Kingsbury, Inc. was founded in 1912 and is the leader in the design and manufacture of tilt-pad fluid film thrust and journal bearings for all types of rotating machinery, with thousands of installations worldwide. The Company is comprised of a Corporate office (Philadelphia, PA), two (2) manufacturing facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Oshkosh, WI) and two (2) repair and service facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Yuba City, CA) located in the United States. In addition, Kingsbury has one (1) manufacturing facility located in Gottingen Germany.
Job Purpose:
Performs various tasks on the shop floor related to the finishing, assembly and packaging of parts including: deburring, operating shrink wrapper, and laser etching. May also assist with division wide facilities upkeep such as painting, cleaning and organizing.
What you will be doing:
- Remove excess material and burrs from surface by performing deburring, blasting or tumbling.
- Performs minor support functions such as staking, etching, lapping, and other basic machining functions.
- Use manual pallet jacks and/or push carts to transport materials.
- Assemble, repair and inspect machined parts, using hand tools. Log and enter information for tracking and quality purposes.
- Inspect materials/shipment and ensure bills of lading are correct.
- Take pictures of completed orders for customer verification
- Shred paper.
- Inspect shipments to verify the quantity and quality of material.
- Operate shrink wrapper and other equipment related to packaging, including prepping boxes to meet shipping specifications.
- Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier.
- Maintain work areas to ensure the safe operations of all tools and equipment and adheres to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and participate in facilities upkeep.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old and pursuing high school diploma.
