Responsibilities: The Company is one of North America's leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels, including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. - Syndicated Pricing Analysis: Item Price Tracking showing brand/item performance in key retailers providing market intelligence data identifying items on price in respect to our competitors. Insights detect which categories and in what regions price is not aligned with market and product strategies.
- Promotional Support: Assist the Carbonated Soft Drink Merchandising team in building, maintaining and reporting on a new Ad Versioning Strategy. Work cross functionally with Marketing, Data Science, Accounting and operations to ensure smooth transition and long-term success of the promotional strategy.
- Monthly Business Trend Insights: Monthly connect with Category Manager / Key stakeholders; use syndicated / customer data to provide insights on State of Business, category trends, upcoming promotions, post-hoc promo event analysis, etc.
- Bottler Segmentation: Support the preparation and submission of necessary documents, contracts, etc. that enable local/regional pricing and promotional opportunities.
- Zone Pricing:Support DG-developed capabilities to enable Zone Pricing; including front line and promotional opportunities.
- Customize Reporting Creation: Standard Business Review Reporting, Key Topline Reports, Item Ranking, TPD Tracker, Executive Scorecards, Pricing reporting, Promotional Reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of retail data analysis or CPG
- 3 to 5 years of CPG or retail data analytics experience
- Strong Excel expertise (advanced formulas, pivot tables, scorecards)
- Experience creating dashboards and performance reporting
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership audiences
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and timemanagement skills

- Strategic Business Insights: Keep a pulse on the business, bringing the right insights and market data to measure DSMP tactical execution. Leverage key learnings to inform plan adjustments and partner with sales and Category Analytics & Insights team for in-market execution.
- Trade & Pricing: Contribute to the development of retail trade & promotional pricing recommendations, supporting the Sales Team with in-depth pre- and post-promotional analysis. Insights and learnings to enhance trade effectiveness and efficiency for Clients.
- Business Reviews & Market Assessments: Provide insights and data from a variety of sources in the development of line reviews, business reviews, and impactful customer specific selling stories to help support ADV client selling opportunities.
- Project Management: Prioritize and manage project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
- Client/Customer Partnership: Build strong, value-added relationships with clients/customers and internal stakeholders. Transform insights and implications into actionable recommendations that inform strategic direction.
Qualifications Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; certification in Category Management a plus Experience Requirements: 3 to 5 years of CPG or retail data analytics experience Travel requirement: No regular travel expected Supervisor Responsibility Direct Reports: This position does not have formal supervisory responsibility for direct reports Indirect Reports: May provide project direction and mentoring to other teammates Required Knowledge and Skills
- Expert in turning multiple data sources into compelling, business-driving insights
- Strong syndicated data and reporting application experience (e.g., NIQ, Circana)
- Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups); familiarity with database tools like Alteryx or MS Access a plus
- Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to simplify complex analysis for diverse audiences
