Waste Pro is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Safety Lane Inspector to support our fleet operations in Pembroke Pines. This role is essential in ensuring our vehicles meet safety standards and are road-ready each day.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct daily inspections of waste collection vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Identify and document mechanical or safety issues, and report findings promptly
  • Verify that drivers complete pre- and post-trip inspections accurately
  • Maintain inspection logs and ensure all documentation is up to date
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address and resolve issues efficiently
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in fleet inspection, transportation, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle safety standards and DOT regulations is a plus
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Qualifications:



  • Ability to support drivers with pre- and post-trip inspection procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify visible vehicle issues, including lights, mirrors, fluid leaks, and body damage
  • Working knowledge of tire inspections, including checking and adjusting air pressure
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting tasks



Work Conditions: This position requires working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
