What we are looking for:

The Shipping and Logistics Lead for finish goods materialis responsible forassistingwith all cases shipped to our internal and external customers.

Essential Competencies:

Oversee work assignments given to the Shipping Operators andprovide assistancetowardsdeterminingand meeting short-term departmentalobjectives.

  • Delegate job assignments anddeterminepriorities based on available labor and workload.

  • Assure that shipping personnel execute job duties anddemonstratepersonal conduct in a manner that is compliant with all applicable guidelines,policiesand procedures.

  • Takeappropriate actionswhen necessary toassure the efficientand compliant operation to our internal and external customers.

  • Communicates with department management, traffic and/or shipping associates and takes theappropriate actionin matterspertaining toaccuracy, safety, and housekeeping

  • Observe and communicate unsafe conditions to traffic and /or supervision and take corrective actions.

  • Provide assistance with problem solving for shipping personnel and other designees for scanning and case location questions.

  • Demonstrateabilityto adjust to changing demands and priorities on a constant basis.

  • Assistwith planning for and execution of quarterly physical inventories.

  • Ensure personnel meet or exceed the minimum number of trailers/cases loaded daily, performing root cause analysis when mistakes are discovered, and performing 6S audits.

  • Ensure company safety, quality and performance procedures are met in a safe,cleanand organized setting and offer recommendations to improve these standards.

  • Operate lift truck or hand truck to move products when necessary.

  • Occasional, and at times heavy, overtime and extended hours are required including weekends

  • Other duties as assigned

MinimumQuantifiable Competencies:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • One to threeyearsrelated experience and/or training

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

  • Minimum4years warehouse experience.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Warehouse supervisory experience preferred.

  • AS400 Experience preferred.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

  • Must be self-motivated and able todemonstratesound judgment when confronted with unexpected or unfamiliar work and/orpeoplesituations.

  • Close attention to detail isrequiredto assure the accuracy of documents, the proper storageand movement of materials, proper data entry intheAS400 computer systems, to correct potential unsafe or housekeeping conditions in the warehouse storage and work areas.

Strengths needed for this role:

Ability to lift 50 pounds plus bending,twistingor lifting from awkward positions or in tight spaces, must be able to push and pull casesin excess of200lbs to 800lbs repetitiously.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tostand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.

  • The employee isfrequentlyrequired to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employeeis occasionally required tosit, stoop, and/or kneel.
